Patti Howell, The Hitching Post Education Center

About the Presenter

The Hitching Post Educational Center, a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, shares both a building and mission with its sister company, Hickory Trading Company, an Artisan Gift and Coffee Shop, a local shop that features a variety of artists here in Hampton Roads. The Coffee House is the perfect setting for our students to learn job skills, life skills and develop confidence. I A portion of all sales goes directly to support the Education Center which provides a unique opportunity for students, families and community. Students enrolled in our Pre-employment/ Life Skills program receive on-the-job support and training through the retail side of the business with specially trained staff to support and equip them with the skills they need to succeed in the workplace.
