As a former LPC, Alison practiced counseling for seven years before the birth of her son after which she remained home. Following her time as a primary caregiver, Alison ventured into the realm of tutoring and education, beginning with two years as a reading recovery tutor and then transitioning to full- time teaching as a middle and high school humanities educator for five years.
